There are two chambers in the container. You release water into the bottom chamber, which mixes with quicklime, creating heat, warming the deliciousness in the top chamber. There's a color changing dot on the outside, and when it turns white, your drink has been sufficiently heated and you, "Shake, open and enjoy!" The top pops open like a soda, but has a twistable top as well, so you can keep the drink warm. It's great. Tailgating on Saturday morning in 40 degree weather will be so much more enjoyable after this discovery!!
